About Us

Hickory County Farmers Mutual Insurance Company is located in Central Missouri. We have been serving policyholders in the state of Missouri for over 100 years. 

The company was established May 27, 1892 as Farmers Mutual Aid Society of Hickory County. On July 2, 1892 the company was granted a charter of incorporation. On October 10, 1910 the name was changed to The Farmers Mutual Insurance Company of Hickory County and operated under that name until March of 1999 when the name was change to Hickory County Farmers Mutual Insurance Company. 

The Corporate powers of the company are vested in a board of seven directors.
